Reflections of Sept. 11

Original Guestbook Entries

Here are the entries left on our guestbook from November 2001 to July 2005, when damage from spammers and hackers forced us to change systems. We've edited out e-mail addresses, some duplicates, commercial postings and a couple of gratuitously obscene items. Otherwise, everything is as originally entered.

Since I live on the other side of the country I just can not get a true fell for what has happened.I see the pictures over and over and still just can not believe it. I was lucky enough to see the WTC when I was 13 summer of 1976, I will never forget the view from WTC2. Not only has the skyline of NYC changed, but our nation has been changed. I just pray for the better, I hope that we stay as united as we are now. That would be the greatest tribute to all those lost on Sept. 11.

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I’d worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I’d thank my lucky stars To be living here today
Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can’t take that away
And I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
But I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up
Next to you
And defend her still today
Cause there ain’t no doubtI love this land
God bless the u.s.aFrom the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston
And new york to L.A.
There’s pride in every American heart
And it’s time we stand and say
And I’m proud to be and American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand upNext to you
And defend her still today
Cause there ain’t no doubtI love this land
God bless the u.s.a.

Heartfelt passages from two people obviously in love with the city, incredulous like us all that this could happen to us.  Our sentiments run parallel.  To this date we're in disbelief and denial.  I bought the Life Magazine which just came out about the event, leafed through it and relived it yet again.  I suggest you guys pick it up and keep it for ever in your library.

As A New Yorker, my life has been changed since the Sept. 11, 2001.I always felt the security of being here in New York.  My son who is attending college at BMCC observed the disaster that killed so many of our fellow workers, and family.  We do believe that God is on our side and He promised that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER. We know that God will protect us and shield us from any harm.  America just needs to stay in Prayer and seek God's face. Thank you for your time.

This is a poem I wrote for my son Brett.

Death and destruction is all you create
On September 11th you changed your fate.
People watched in disbelif
Who could cause this terrible grief?
You had a group that took down the towers
But in real life you lost all your powers.
You brain wash the people you have on your side to take innocent humans for a short fatal ride.
You targeted Americans on your cowardly flight.
So when we find you,be ready to fight.
We are a nation of bold and strong
Our way of life will go on.
From your actions the towers stand no longer
One thing is for sure-America is stronger.
Our military stands ready and willing
To get you back for your useless killing.
You are afraid and scared ... and do not brag
You envy the symbol of the american flag.
You devistated America this is true.
But you cannot hide from the RED WHITE and BLUE ...

I'm trying to get my life back to normal...It's been very hard. A friend told me until he saw how this has affected me he never thought of New York as someones home town. One positive note...Ie's gotten much easier to be a New Yorker in Chattanooga. People seem to search me out to tell how bad they feel and how we are all in this together. As a friend put itWe are no longer rebels and yankies, We are now all just Americans!!! God Bless Us All J. So many of them will never get to see their familiesfriends or loved ones again all because they tried to save others.I will be going to NY soon and i know that i will never get to see those towers but i was planning to. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. It is truly a tragedy. Even though I live clear over on the other side of the country, I feel a deep and undefineable sadness for all directly or indirectly involved.  By that I mean, those that lost their lives and the families that have to cope with their loss, and for the terrific people who live in our "Great State of New York."  I must confess something that is hard for me to define.  You see, I am a Firefighter for the Spokane Valley Fire Dept. and shortly after the WTC and Pentagon tragedies, people started coming to our fire stations and would just tell us how much they appreciated us and to say thanks for being who we are and doing what we do.  They would set flowers at our flag poles and bring us food. It was very touching and, at times, very emotional for us and them.  Don't get me wrong, I am deeply grateful for the message they conveyed to me and my co-workers.  But, at the same time I felt guilty about having so much attention focused on us here, on the other side of the country.  It felt wrong.  My only solace for that was to tell myself that for every person  that I personally had contact with that wanted to heap praise and thanks upon me for the job that I do, was to be gracious and to accept their kind words knowing that I was accepting their kindness and compassion for one of the many names of my fallen comrades I have on a list that I have printed out.  So, in some way I have found a way not to feel guilty.  Thank you to all that have found some way to express your gratitude to all the firefighters across the country.  It means alot.  And Thank You Barb and Ed.

Thanks for the page and the photos. They are very moving. My wife and I visited NY the Tuesdat prior to the attacks and were in Maine when we heard about it on the radio. This was our first time to visit NY and were very upset to hear of the attack. It is nice to see people putting thier photos out on the web to share with others. It helps in the healing process. www.firehouse.com has some great pictures of the heros at work if any one is interested. Thanks again. J&J.

I have been non stop watching the news since this disaster happened. I love my country very much and to see these monsters desecrate it makes me sick. I have helped for the relief any way I could, such as money and clothing. We all have been attacked , but eventually we will grow and emerge stronger against this disaster.

Thanks for your photos, it is great to see that New Yorkers have taken the time to save the expressions great and grim for those who never knew about the greatness of our city and the monumental towers that stood for so long before that dreadful day.  I remember seeing many jazz concerts there and I will surely miss all of my friends that were taken away from me, and those people that I passed on the way and never took the time to get to know.  God Bless their families and bring peace to their hearts during this time of recovery.

Everything that happen on Sept. 11  has really  change the United States for the better. I'm feel bad for the family and friends that lost love ones on that date. I remember when I heared about it I felt mad at the ones  that had done this to us. But we can't change what  had happen already. We will win this war but it will take time to win it. We will find the main guy that had plan this and he will pay for this.

Dear Barb & Ed:Thank you so much.  My Husband & I grew up in Uniion City, NJ, just above the Viaducts.  Entering the Holland Tunnel, the last thing you see from the NJ Side is Lady Liberty on the right.  We flew into NJ in early May for my 40th HS Reunion; I remember saying to Andy that "I hope nothing ever happens to Lady Liberty, or, Ellis Island, Please God.  My oldest Son was in the first bombing that took place several years ago.  He was one of the few who smoked (still does)at the time; his lighter held out long enough to guide a number of people down the stairwells.  A couple of years ago he opened his own commodities firm and moved down the block to a different building.  His former offices were on the 96th Fl. of the First Tower hit on 9/11.  My Sister exited the Path/train from NJ through that same Tower; her offices are four blocks away, she always took a short-cut through the WTC.  I expect it will take many years for everyone involved to recover (some will/may never recover); but, We as a Nation Will Recover.  As to "Trust", that will take a little longer.  Thank You Both for your observations, your photos, and, your self-less actions.  Kathie Staiano

The disaster of September 11 will stay with us all for life.I am so proud of the way that New York picked itself back upand dusted itself off. America is so strong, it will go on and on. It is sad though that it takes such a devistating event to bring people together. I am very scared for all of us now, and what the future holds. One day at a time is the best that any of us can do. Keep your heads up, and take care of yourselves. Remember to love one another, and we will all get through this crazy world. Lots of love to allthe people out there, our thoughts are with you.

Can we learn from this?  We need to live each day as if it may be our last.  Do not ever take anyone for granted.  Tell your family and friends each and every day how much you love them.  Realize that every person is special and treat them that way.  Never treat anyone as if you are better than them, because you are not.  God bless America.  God bless the troops fighting for our freedom.  God bless their families who are without them now.  Thank you all.

Your photo from City Island brings back very sad memories. For methere was no escaping what happened on 9/ll. Everytime I walk to the bridge or to the beach I am sadly reminded ofwhat happened. As the months go by, I see many becoming desensitized to what has happened as people go on with theirnormal life and routines. I will never forget and hope I donot see such a horrific act in my life time again. It haschanged me forever. I keep the memory of those lost and theevil that allowed it to happen in my soul. Thank you for your slide show.

These kinds of websites give us all inspiration andStrenght. This is a very in depth website that lets us as the public see what we were not able to see. We did see what was on the news but we did not get to hear the personal experiences of ordinary people who were affected by this tragic event. America will overcome this. We will still standstrong no matter what.

Hi,I was in NYC about 5 years ago when I was a sixth grader and remember the astonishment when I saw the towers. I may live in MS, but I have always had the city spirit inside of me and a true love for NYC. Everyone still thinks I am crazy for wanting to go the day after the attacks but it truely is the greatest city in the world. The people are so nice, the culture, just everything put together. I am leaving to go to NYC the first week of June with my best friend. I really do wish that everyone in the entire USA would have a chance to visit the city. This country and the people here should be proud of how strong our nation is and how our government is responding to terrorism.

Very Well Done!  I was born and raised in the Bronx.  Have fond memories of City Island from my childhood, I'm 49 years old.  I have loved NYC all my life.  And one of the places I loved the most was the World Trade Centers.  I've spent 4th of July, '96, on the roof of the observation deck,  I visited the WTC's very often.  I enjoyed going up there just before dusk and just hanging out on the deck, open air, watching the sun go down and the City light up.  As odd as it may sound, I mourn the loss of one of my favorite places, I'll miss them forever.  Thanks for sharing., told from a NYC point of view made it very special for this Bronx Boy.

There are no words to express what I felt on that day. I pray for the people that were devestated by this tragedy and for the people of our entire country.  I have a 7 year old daughter, that was so affected by this tragedy. She worries so much about the mommies and daddies that are without their babies and the many children that are without their mom or dad. She is always asking if we can go get one and take care of them and she would be their sister and love them... our children are so innocent, the people that lost their lives were so very innocent also. May God be with you and your families and loved ones. My prayers are with all of you...

I have never been to New York. But one thing I could never get over was the beauty and grandness that this city seemed to have. I believe this city to be a great city. Just as the United States is a great country and it's people a great people. No evil whether great or small can hold a city, country or it's people down like that. May God bless America. Please, know as a Canadian I am thankful for the United States stand against this evil.

I was so devasted when this destruction originally took place. Looking at the pictures again brought it all back. But I do think we need this. People have to keep remembering what has happened to our country, to us. And that there is definitely is a reason why we are at war and that is to fight terrorism. Thank you for taking the time to put this on the internet.

September 11 was the worst terrorist attack known to man. How one man can do something so terrible to the human race is unbelievable. Bin laden is the lowest form of human life with no respect for anyone or living human being. Though it is 7 months since the terrorist attacks on America it as not still sunk in yet and i dont think it ever will. We can only hope that nothing like this will happen again. I was glad to see your site.  I am doing a research web page on September 11, and I came across it.  For some reason to hear stories from people who were there and experienced it there, it just seems to make it more real.  I was at school that day, and I remember going to sleep after a late night studying, to wake up to what was happening.  All I could do was watch what was occuring on the television.  I am glad that you did not suffer any immediate losses on that day.  My prayers are still with you.  God Bless and keep you.

Why did you make this web page.  To bask in the glory of someone else's tragedy?  How many people do I have to talk toor see on the web who weren't even there but act like they were? And the photo of you crying, dear God. So disrespectful, like youare saying I AM A GOOD PERSON.Take this down now.  Show some respect for the dead and turnthe camera away from yourselves.

sept.,11th 2001 is a date we will never forget. the people who done it well what goes around comes around... when itcomes around to them it's not gonna be pretty it's gonna come down on them hard.. little did the people in  the twin towerslittle did they know that it would be thier last day of workinand to see thier family for the last time.  i think we should take time andrespect our country a little more cause america os thecountry of freedom.. and some countrys like afganistan didn't haveno freedom until osama left but i hope they find osama... the wivesof the lost firemen they help our country as much as they didand lost thier lives doin somethin good.. so u should be proud of them.and for the children of the lost dads they were really brave to do such a thing as to try to stop the terriosts from doing wat they were doing.  Amber 12 years old....      REMEMBER THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Iwas 9 years old when this happened. My teacher, Mrs. o'hagan got called back to the reserves. I didn`t understand why the people attacked us at first, but on my birthday in April, I understood. I knew that they thought God would send them to Heaven;'Bin Laden told them to; and they knew we would call 911. I hated that day: 9.11.01

I think your photos are very real and sincere.  I am sorry for the loss of your city.  Sept. 11 was a horrible act on America.  TO this day i am scared to hear planes flyng over my hometown.  I hope that we can find and eliminate Bin Laden.  He deserves to die for what he has done.  Then again he has helped us in a huge way.  Once again we're untied as a huge family.

People in which worked hard and made a living for themselves along for their families. Was all taken away from them. The one thing we have to do is be STRONG. That is what our loved ones we lost would want us to do.Our hearts go out to everyone. GOD BLESS!

Very meaningful sight.I was and still am very much heartbroken over what took place on Sept 11 2001.So many innocent people lost their lives because of a bunch of cowards. No one deserved what happened on that fateful day.It will always be on my mind and everyone will remain in my heart.I hope that all of these awful people who planned this come to justice.I would love to hear from anyone who was in New York on Sept 11 and seen what happened or anyone who has ever been to the WTC.I never got the chance to go myself.I would love to have email contact and postal letter contact and maybe we could trade a few pictures and whatnot.May God be with everyone that was hurt or who died on that day.God Bless you all.I LOVE NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice web site.I'm 38, and had never served in the military. However; because of 9/11, the Presidents speech to the joint session if congress that followed; (along withthe last paragrapgh of Gen. Pattons 1944 speech to his troops in England), I picked up the phone and called a recruiter.I am now a proud memeber of the United States Coast Guard - Reserves, stationed in Alexandria Va. When I went to USCG Boot Camp in April, it was nice to discoverthat there were 15 other 30-40 year olds (yes, they separated us from the 18 & 19 year olds), who also were there because of Sept. 11th. I will proudly be serving on active duty for a two week period around Sept. 11. May God Bless America and the President !!

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of those who perished in the Sept. 11 attack. I'm from a country that is thousand of miles away from the US. But I was watching when the tragedy happened that day. I don't personally know the people who perished, but I cried for them and their family. But then, let us not lose hope. Justice will be served. Let us no forever grieve. Your relative or firend who died that day may be forever gone physically, but let us keep thie memories alive. Let's continue to pray and dream for a better and more peaceful world. "Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live." -Norman Cousins

Your words describe how all of us were feeling that day.I did not lose anybody I loved that day...but we all know somebodywho knows someone who did! What we did lose was the peace and security thatwe all took for granted, and it still makes me ill to look andread about that terrible, terrible day. I can't listen to any patriotic songswithout totally losing it, especially "AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL". I am taking September11th off this year, and every year. It should be declared a National Day of Mourning,I am sure I will be upset again as I watch all the Tributes.

I can't tell you how much i have been effected by sept 11th.I was not there and i did not loose family. But  i have close friends who have. I am a american...NO . I am a proud american.I  have 3 older brothers and a younger  sister .My brothers are ages 22,23,25 and my sister is 10 . I am 19 years old and i just graduated from high school may 21,2002.My oldest brother  is joining The army and my youngest  brother is joining the navy .  We have all been  offected buy what happened and i'll never forget  were i was and what i thought  when  the attack happened.I was in my 3rd period class talking to my friends when i  heard on  tv behind me  thatwe have been attacked. My first thought was ,yea ok what ever probly justa hokes. When i watched longer they showed us  the first tower beinging hit. as i continued to watch the second tower  was hit . at first i thought it was a rerun  but when i heard the  news anker lady start to scream and cry hewre words were" Oh my god the second tower has just been hit,I repeat the second tower has just been hit fokes" I watched with my own eyes as the plainwent into the second tower. With my own eyes,i watches people get killed. People say well it was on tv not rl it shouldent effect you But it did . With my own eyes i watched a plane run into the second twin tower.     " My own eyes" How do you  get over something like that ?  The next day  a friend of myn came up to me  crying . her mother, faughter, aunt, uncle, and her 4 year old nease were in the building . She only heard from her uncle ,and her aunt. 2 weeks later she heard from her mother who had her nease but her faughter was necver heard from. her faughter was killed.   2 days after the twin towers were attacked i heard about the pentagon.I started to cry . 1 thing you all must know is that i'm not a emotional person . I do not cry. But  for the first time  sence i was a baby i cryed. How can someone do something so hidious? How can the world be so cruel? I have goals in life and untill sept 11th  happen i never took it seriously. At the end of my senior year all seniors had to do 1 report  and i did myn on sept 11th. I knew it would be corny because alot of people was doing it because of sept 11th but i dident think they were doing it for the right reason. I wrote my report and i got an a on it . My english told me she never has ever given a student an a on any report before and that myn was the first because she said it felt like i was speaking from my heard. I can't tell you how much sept effected me . i can only tell you how it has changed me  and us.  We are proud to stand tall and untill sept 11th happend  we never really cared. And instead of  the terrist hurting us they only made us stronger.stronger in heart, soul, and love.  They will get what is coming to them . Stand tall, "A million people,1heart"

It truly saddens me that there are people with so much hatred in the world.I see these pictures of the events of September 11 and it still gives me the chills. My heart goes out to the victims and their family's. This is one of my poems i wrote I hear the laughter of familys  nearby ,Until the rumbling plains noise filled the sky.A blast into the first twin tower did accur,Then a secound, would there be a third? As the first twin tower fell,It reminded me of a dove falling from the sky.A couple hours later the second symbol of Newyork died.I hear the screams of pain and fear ,As i run for my life for the debree was near.88 storys  the rubble fell .The screams of loved one being killed. The thick smog looking ash rushing down the street,As people tumbled over there feet.Strangers helping stranger's,Strangers saveing  life's.Now we raise are flags ,With pain ,and pride. We still ride are plains ,To show ben laden lost ,We Have american pride. And we are what ben laden is not .Was this the fear ben laden had in mind? You lost ben laden,And Americans won .  -Tluinye P'Aige (Sherry )

No words can describe the horror of that day, and no words of comfort will ease the pain caused to those who lost loved ones, I believe in justice and I know that the evil people who commited this act of murder will be punished.

I saw a documentary about flight 93 the plane that was hyjacked on sept 11 and crashed into a field after the afgan pilots were tackled by the passengers, it was terrible what happened on sept 11 02 but it could have been worse if that plane had gone into the white house and much more people would have been killed. So i my heart goes out to their family who seem to have been forgoten.

Dear Barb & Ed...Just viewed your website and pictures etc. Want to say how deeply moved i was to read your account of 9/11. We in Australia were shocked and terrified by what happened. My mother woke me from my sleep at midnight and told me to put on the television because america was under attack. I was still half asleep and couldnt comprehend this, but did as she said and to my disbelief saw the trade centres on fire etc...i sat dazed and numb, for hours with my husband. We both had work in the morning but were so transfixed and shocked that we couldnt stop watching it. I understand what you meant by saying that you didnt want to go out or do anything. neither did we, we didnt want to go to work, we couldnt believe it! On every station, radio and tv, it was being replayed and replayed, my son was scared , and truthfully so were we. i just want to say that i hope everything is well for you both, your city is in all of our thoughts this week..you are all so brave!!!!

On September 11, 2001 I was 8 weeks pregnant to the day.  While on my way to work I heard the awful news.  Once I arrived I put the T.V. on to watch everything unfold.I remember feeling my heart sink into my chest, and I held my stomach all the while wondering what kind of a world was I going to bring my unborn child into.  Though this may sound crazy, but I prayed to God to let me live and be able to meet my child.  Well, I did and on Sept. 12, 2002 my son will be five months old.  I will teachmy son the great importance of our wonderful country, and tell him the stories about that horrific day.  I pray that we can all teach the coming generations how to respectone another and live life to it's fullest.  What those awful people did was unbelievable, and they will one day pay, they will meet their maker and face their ultimate judgement.  I only hope that tomorrow Sept. 11, 2002 the one yearanniversary will be filled with love and peace while remembering those lost.

Many died that day and we all pray and hopethat we can learn from this experience, because we all KNOW that we are closer and a more patriotic country because of it. It has been a year now since the tragety of Sept 11. I have not been able to put the terrifying scenes that I saw that day on the news out of my head and I know that no one else has been able to either. It was a horrifying, sensless act that never should have happened. My heart goes out to everyone,I love you all. I want you to know, America, that you were in my thoughts that day and you will be in my thoughts for the rest of my life. I cried with you when America was attacked and I will rejoice with you when BinLaden is attacked!! GET HIM AMERICA!!

AMERICA
It has been a year, since that day,
Your in our hearts, your here to stay,
So many people, lost thier lives,
Leaving behind husbands, children and wives,
Innocent people, just doing thier work,
Then wiped from excitence, by that stinking jerk,
No doupt thier in heaven, with our Lord,
While down on Earth, we still feel flored,
By the events in September,
That I know we will all remember,
But you are America, you will pull threw,
Catch BinLaden, and dispose of him to!

Although my country is far away from USA,my heart go to the people who perished in Sept 11 attack and also loved ones ofvictims. It is very sad that they died innocently.I admire the valour of firemenand policemen. They sacrifice their lives, knowing that they willbe crushed by collasping building.Their valour is commenable. They have taught us one lesson.we should stand up bravely and fight against terrorism.Encourage people to get over the tradegy and get on their lives. What is done has been done.No point to look back and crying over spilling milk.Terrorism will never either win and beat us if we stand united .

On 9.11 we were schocked to see in the TV the Twin towers and sadly we were glued to the scenes which we taped it. A few years ago my wife Mavis and I were there by the Twin towers enjoying the sights of the beloved city of NY.  Then we spent nearly 2 months in US -St F, LA, Atlanta, Olk, PennyS, Washington, Niagra Falls  and what pleasant times we had. Today I heard a message from Robert Schuller from Chrystal Cathedral and I know that still we have hope for your great democratic nation for it is by prayer that HEALING, PROTECTION, PROSPERITY can return. Robert S prayed with the people at the Pentagon, Capitol, White House, Ground Zero. There is Hope and our Hope is to come nearer to God and he will surely HEAL, PROTECT & PROSPER. The Biblestates Ïf my people will humble and pray and call on my Name I will heal, protect and prosper. Wonder whether you have heard Daniel Rodriguez sing America, America and also the Lord's Prayer. It is heart moving. hve you heard of the true story of Genelle Guzman who was embedded under concrete yet praying on 9.11 and the someone called Paul held her hand and Paul waited foe hours till finally help came. Genenelle asked the rescue team where is Paul and they said that there is noone by the name of Paul in the recue team. The Paul was God's Angel. if you do not know the story I could send it to you.  lakshman

Sept 11 was like a movie. I was on my way to Egypt for a training exercise. I was to leave on the 11 but they posponed the trip. I have been in the army for four years, and I was going to get out but after that day I knew that I had to stay in not only for my country but for my state I am from NY born and raised so it hit me pretty hard. The only thing that bothers me is that it had to take such a tragedy to bring the people together. I am I proud to say that I am a soilder in the United States Army and I went to afghanistan to protect my family, friends, and my country. god bless the U.S.A. and its soilers.

I wanted to say that I am sadden that this has happpened to us. I was at the Statue of Liberty and the World Trade Center 8 days before the attacks (Labor Day). I took a lot of pictures if the New York skyline. And the weirdest part was I had them developed the day before. The pictures came out like post cards and I still have the negatives. I still think about what happened. I have never flown in an airplane before until that happened. Months later, I flew to Florida. I had to get over my fear of flying. It's good that you have a page where people can post their thought and comments. God Bless America!

on sept. 10th 1998 i had a dream about terrorists coming to attack us..it was a somewhat clear sky. the sun was outnormal day..then white planes were coming out of nowhereand we were under attack.i remember hearing cries for helppeople screaming..dont know where they were coming from..it was brutal..that morning on sept. 11th 1998 i was at work by 8:00am..i sat down on my chair..i felt like somethingwas not right..so i told my friend about my dream i had thatnight and that i had some kind of gut feeling..the airsmelled different..my surroundings were quiet..after i toldher my dream i went on about my business..my manager walkedinto the sales floor and turned on the news..something aboutthe world trade center got struck by a plane..then the pentagon etc...i froze,,my eyes went white like i'd seena ghost..i covered my mouth with both hands..shed a tearin disbelief..alot of my co-workers looked at me in fear.they asked me how did i know about the attack?? for a momentthere i did not know what to say..ARE WE UNDER A TERRORIST ATTACK?they said yes..then i realized what my dream meant..i had a preminition of what was to come..we all bowed our headsand prayed... i wanted to share my dream with all of youout there and i advise that if there ever comes a timethat you have a strange dream that you cant shake out or dontfeel good about..please tell someone..reach out to people.for God gives us gifts to see more than meets the eye..this wassuch a tragic loss for us..more so to the families whos lovedones suffered such a horrific event..Justice will be served.no one in this world gets away with such brutal acts..thank you and God Bless each and everyone..

All the pictures and that artical is great. On 9/11 I left my school early. I never really could make myself look at the pictures because I had family members in there. Now I saw them and they were wonderful pictures and a great artical.

Today is September 11, 2003.  Today I watched CNN's coverage of the 9/11 memorial service held at ground zero.  Watching...I became overwhelmed with feelings of anger and sadness.  Yet, it is also awesome to see the love of the human spirit that people have for remembering their loved ones.   We cannot change what happened, but we can look towards the future as a means of stopping terrorism.  God gave us this earth to celebrate life and love.  Teach yourself and others to be forgiving and accepting of differences.  Accept uniqueness and accept love.  Give love and give laughter.  THose who lost their lives on 9/11 are heroes and examples to the future of what hatred can produce and what love can unveil.  God Bless and may god show mercy on judgment day.  See the beauty in all things.

These collection of photos from Sept. 11, 2001 are a sobering reminder of the devastation of this day.  We must never forget this murderous act upon this country.  Thank you for your efforts here to remind us of our loss and that we must press on to overcome evil.!!

I think that this page is very thoughtful. You must have really taken a lot of time to do this. It is great. I bet that you are a great person. You did a very good job. We will always remember everyone that has passed away on 911.

This whole thing still freaks me out over two years later.  I think what it would be like to lose a loved one in such a cruel way. I send my love and thoughts always to those involved. x.

I will never forget.  May flights of angels sing those brave souls to their rest. May they follow the path of all the martyrs and saints who have gone before and rise beyond the stars!

God bless yous. I hope you aren't haunted by these tragedies; and can find peace and happiness. Being a retired photojournalist, I am haunted by the horrors of mankind. It is people like you that give me hope for the peaceful uniting of mankind. Myself; gilfriend;  her family; and friends all living in the Philippines, are admiring your strength and hope.

Thank you both so much for posting your photos online for the world to see. Even 4 years later, and I'm sure for many years to come, anyone that can give different perspective to those of us who only saw the 9/11 disaster unfold on our television sets will prove invaluable. Again, thank you.
